The perinatal season, from pregnancy through the first year postpartum, is often described as a joyful time. While it can be, it is also one of the most emotionally, physically, and mentally demanding transitions a woman will experience.
What many people do not realize is that perinatal mental health conditions are among the most common complications of pregnancy and postpartum. Anxiety, depression, intrusive thoughts, and emotional overwhelm affect a significant number of women. Too often, these struggles are minimized, misunderstood, or carried in silence.
When a mother is struggling, it impacts more than just her. It affects her relationships, her sense of self, and the well-being of her entire family. The good news is that with the right support, perinatal mental health challenges are highly treatable. Access to resources, community, and professional care can be life changing.
That is why we are coming together this Mother’s Day.
Our Mother’s Day Yoga Fundraiser is more than just an event. It is an opportunity to create connection, increase awareness, and raise critical funds to support mothers in this vulnerable season. Our goal is to raise $4,000 to help provide access to support, education, and care for women navigating the perinatal phase of life.
This event is designed to be both meaningful and restorative. You will have the chance to move your body through a gentle yoga session, connect with other women, hear from speakers who are passionate about maternal mental health, and explore local resources available to you or someone you love.
Whether you are a mother, know a mother, or simply care about the well-being of women and families, you are part of this conversation.
We invite you to:
- Join us for the event
- Bring a friend who could use connection and support
- Share this with your community
- Contribute to the fundraiser if you are able
Every dollar raised helps move a mother from isolation to support, from overwhelm to stability, and from surviving to feeling like herself again.
This Mother’s Day, let’s come together to support the mental health of mothers in action.
